With compact system cameras getting more accomplished all the time, Canon and Nikon are having to work hard to justify the additional weight and expense of their traditional SLR systems. There’s still a market for these professional-grade fast zooms though, By and a 70-200 f/2.8 is a mainstay of cheap nfl jerseys most press photographers’ kit bags regardless of what system they use.

Nikon say this updated 70-200, the AF-S NIKKOR 70–200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR to give it it’s full title, offers increased visual quality, with less light fall-off and better sharpness at the edges of the frame. There’s improved image stabilisation (‘Vibration Reduction’ in Nikon-speak) – four stops’ worth – which also has a Sport mode for improved performance at high frame rates (useful if you’re burning through 12fps with a new D5). Start up time has also been improved so there’s less lag between pressing the shutter and the VR system activating.

So. Many. Buttons. AF, focal range and VR controls at the right; configurable buttons half way down. Focus and zoom rings have been reversed on this new model.

There are also four configurable focus function buttons on the lens itself, positioned to be accessible whether you’re shooting with the camera horizontally or vertically. AF performance is also said to have improved over the previous model, particularly when tracking objects that are moving erratically. That overly refreshed uncle at the wedding has never been so easy to capture.

The whole package is approximately 110g lighter than the current G-series 70-200mm world! f/2.8G ED VR II, though retains the earlier lens’s weather and dust sealing. It still weighs in at a hefty 1.4kg though and it’s also worth bearing in mind that it’s an electromagnetic diaphragm inside (the ‘E’ in the product name) which means although Nikon cameras will play with it just fine, your mileage may vary if cheap mlb jerseys you’re hoping to use it via an adapter.

If you’re looking to Welcome! upgrade to the latest and greatest, the 70–200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR (I feel Nikon could do with a snappier nickname here) has wholesale jerseys a RRP of £2,649.99 or €3,229 and will be available from 10 November. And shortly thereafter I’m sure you’ll be able to get a good deal on any number of used previous models. Everyone’s a winner!

It's a nice pouch. It will probably end up in the cupboard with all the other pouches, let's face it.
