To mark 100 years of Gitzo, the company has launched limited edition products, namely a new ARSÈNE GITZHOVEN TRAVELER TRIPOD.
Other launches include the 100 Year Anniversary Edition Traveler Tripod, the Centenary Bag Collection and the Fluid Gimbal Head, all adorning the 100Y “defining tomorrow” logo.
Unlike other limited-edition centenary products we have seen recently, most of Gitzo’s 100 year collection possess features new to the Gitzo product range. These are not just an existing products with a 100 year logo slapped on and a higher price added. (Though these are of course significantly more expensive than normal.)

ARSÈNE GITZHOVEN TRAVELER TRIPOD
Named after the founder of Gitzo who created the company in 1917, meet the ARSÈNE GITZHOVEN TRAVELER TRIPOD
Only 100 ARSÈNE GITZHOVEN TRAVELER TRIPODS are available worldwide, with a whopping £2,499.95 price tag. Each tripod features a laser engraved number and the owner’s signature.
The company talks up a product very well - it is an aspirational brand after all. But the ARSÈNE GITZHOVEN TRAVELER TRIPOD is lovely, described by Gitzo as a flagship product with elegant new design from head to foot.
In fact, Gitzo says that the ARSÈNE GITZHOVEN TRAVELER TRIPOD is the very first model on the market to feature a full carbon fibre ‘spider’, making this tripod significantly lighter.
There are familiar features also found in Gitzo’s Traveler Series 1, including Carbon eXact tubing, 180° folding leg mechanism and Traveler G-lock mechanism.
The tripod comes supplied with a new Centre Ball Head and genuine Italian leather strap.
If the product itself couldn’t get any more fanciful, the ARSÈNE GITZHOVEN TRAVELER TRIPOD, its accessories, certificate of authenticity signed by Gitzo’s CEO, the name of the craftsman who created each specific piece, are all presented in a chest with leather detailing.
100 Year Anniversary Edition Traveler Tripod
In addition to the ARSÈNE GITZHOVEN TRAVELER TRIPOD, Gitzo has created a 100 Year Anniversary Edition Tripod.
Available worldwide in a limited edition of only 1917 pieces, with the number of each piece laser engraved on one leg (1/1917 to 1917/1917).
Like the ARSÈNE GITZHOVEN TRAVELER TRIPOD, The 100 Year Anniversary Edition Traveler Tripod introduces a new magnesium spider and has Gitzo’s latest Traveler Series 1 technological features. Its magnesium body features a new black and titanium grey finish.
Again, it is supplied with the new Center Ball Head, ergonomic strap made of genuine Italian leather and is presented in a black branded chest with leather detailing and certificate of authenticity.

The Gitzo 100 Year Anniversary Edition Traveler Tripod will be available at £1249.95 and is limited to 1917 units.
ARSÈNE GITZHOVEN TRAVELER TRIPOD is available worldwide, for £2,499.95 and limited to 100 units.
