New from Hoya today, the ULTRA-PRO and NX-10 ranges each contain new UV and circular polarising filters, and both are exclusive to the UK. Let’s look closer at both ranges…
Hoya ULTRA-PRO Filters
The Ultra-Pro filters, as the name implies, are Hoya’s top-of-the-range filters, with a price tag to match. Both the UV filters and the circular polarisers come boasting 16 layers of anti-reflective coating and provide impressive light transmission rates – 99.5% for the UV and 90% for the circular polariser. The ULTRA-Pro filters are also scratch and stain resistant, making them an ideal choice for outdoor photographers.
Hoya NX-10 Filters
The other range released by Hoya today is the NX-10 series, which is aimed more towards beginning photographers. The UV filter in the NX-10 range carries 10 layers of coating and provides light transmission of 98%, as well as being repellent to water and oil. The circular polariser does not have any kind of coating.
