Nikon celebrates its 100th anniversary on 25th July 2017. Going all Leica on us, the company has created a number of commemorative goods around the occasion.
Current cameras and lenses like the Nikon D5, D500 and 70-200mm f/2.8E are available in what we say is a slick, metallic grey finish, with the official 100th-anniversary logo detail.
New special edition cameras are delivered in a presentation box. The D5 includes an anniversary booklet detailing Nikon’s contribution to the study and exploration of space.
Special leather straps and body caps are also included with these cameras.
Buy the 70-200mm f/2.8E lens and in addition you will receive all the individual lens elements that make up the lens separately, with display stand and case.
A triple lens kit includes Nikon’s current professional f/2.8 zoom lenses, the 14-24mm, 24-70mm and 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses.
Like all other 100th-anniversary edition camera and lens items, each lens is engraved with the same commemorative serial number.
In addition to camera kit, Nikon has created a 1/2 scale replica of the original Nikon F, as well as a crystal reproduction of its first camera, the Nikon Model I from 1948, in collaboration with Swarovski.
Other items include binoculars, Italian leather camera straps and a framed pin collection that contains pins of Nikon’s most historic and popular products.
